Our consignment policy is as follows: We charge a 40% commission fee for brokering your items; you the consignor receive 60% of the sale price. Payment day is thirty (30) days after the item has sold. Should your inventory remain unsold at the end of twelve months, there will be an automatic price reduction of 20%. We will reduce another 20% of the original price after each twelve-month period, until the item arrives at "no value" after five years. At the end of five years, if your inventory remains unsold it will become property of Bacon Sails & Marine Supplies.
Until that point, items remain your property, subject to your recall, until actually sold or the five year time frame is reached. Until then, we suggest that you continue existing insurance coverage. Should the item reach the "no value" point, you can recall or we will simply dispose of it as we see fit. It is the consignors responsibility to maintain paperwork/knowledge of the item(s) time frame.
